Linear Actuator LD75

Linear actuator for extreme conditions

The LD75 is specially designed for use in extreme conditions. Ambient temperatures from -40° to 85° Celsius* can do as little harm as the jet of a high-pressure cleaner or the strong vibrations of a construction machine. Thanks to its robust, compact housing and customization options, the LD75 can be used for a wide range of applications across a wide variety of industries.

Easy installation thanks to the individual customization options

We would be happy to customize the LD75 to your individual needs:

  • Stroke length: Customized special stroke lengths or installation lengths are available on request.
  • Gearing: Choose between four versions with different combinations of power and speed. From 750 N and 14 mm/s to 300 N and 50 mm/s**
  • Hanging mechanisms can be selected as needed. We can also customize the adapters and couplings individually to fit your requirements. Just ask us!
  • Housing: Customized paints, special colours and special installation dimensions – everything is possible.
  • Operating voltage: Choose between 12 VDC and 24 VDC.
  • Cable length and plug: The cable length and connections / plugs can be customized on request.

High quality and resistant

The LD75 has a robust housing made of die-cast aluminium, with a stable casing made of anodised aluminium profile and a lift pipe made of stainless steel. Inside, there is a maintenance-free DC motor that features enormous reliability and longevity. It is designed for an above-average duty cycle of 30 %.

The housing and hanging mechanism are manufactured with the greatest care and precision.

Thanks to its high protection class of IP69k (static), the housing can withstand a jet from a high-pressure steam cleaner without any problems.

Even under extreme environmental conditions, the linear drive is reliable and trouble-free. It can tolerate ambient temperatures of -20 to 65 degrees Celsius and is insensitive to UV radiation from the sun. This linear drive is also popular in the offshore sector (e.g. for ocean-going yachts or cruise ships). Years of operation while in contact with seawater and salt spray do not affect its reliable functionality. Likewise, the violent vibrations of off-highway machines cannot harm it.

Typical applications for the LD75 linear actuator

The LD75 is often used in outdoor applications: for agricultural machinery, off-highway vehicles, municipal machinery and even in the offshore sector. In other words, it can be used wherever the linear drive must function precisely and reliably under harsh environmental conditions. Here are some typical examples of LD75 usage:

Agricultural machinery:

  • Tilting a GPS antenna
  • Moving flaps

Mobile and off-highway:

  • Adjusting components in construction machinery
  • Opening and closing service openings on aircraft
  • Lateral adjustment of baggage conveyor belts on the aircraft

Offshore and marine technology:

  • Opening and closing windows and skylights
  • Raising the centreboard of sailing yachts in shallow water
  • Adjusting the roof of an excursion boat when under bridges

Industrial and logistics

  • Lifting and lowering functions for transport racks
  • Format adjustments for machines
* When inactive. Operating temperature: -20° to 65° C; at full power +5° to +40° C.
** Speed at idle.
